The client's house had a lovely secluded garden off the master suite but had only a small door and side light to access and appreciate it. By blowing out the wall and replacing it with glass wall to wall, the outdoors is brought in. Within the house the master bath was remodeled to provide double sinks, a two person shower and wall space for towels. A full height pull out cabinet behind the shower provides ample linen and other storage. A small bedroom was converted into a master closet with two walls of custom laid up eucalyptus veneer cabinets. The space was designed to allow for a reconvertion to a bedroom for future homeowners. Skylights were added to the master bedroom hall to bring daylight to the space which creates an ever changing play of light and shadows in the hall. The second bathroom was expanded to provide more space within the room while a custom steel framed medicine cabinet with lights in the top and bottom create a visual focus from the entry hall. Color is visible in each direction that you turn.
